A little life update

Wow, long time no see! It’s my fault entirely but I do apologise. God where do I start, a lot has happened since the last time we talked but also not much has happened. I guess I’ll dive right in. We are moving to Sydney!! The downside to that? We’re not moving to the UK this year :(( I know I know, the UK move has been a big goal of mine since my family moved back to Australia in 2011. But I’ve also had the want to complete more study since I’ve been in primary school. It was a hard decision to make but the UK will still be there in a few years time. It’s not being cancelled, just postponed. But back to the happy news, I’ve been accepted to The University of Sydney and I’ll be starting there in February next year! Here’s the tricky part. I've been accepted into one program but I’m still waiting on news from one of my other applications, so until I hear back from that I’m going to hold off on divulging into what I’ll be doing (sorry). The other happy news from this is that I’ve been approved for a work/office transfer, so I can keep doing my job over in Sydney. Honestly I was more worried about being approved for a transfer than I was about getting into uni because I don’t think I can live and support myself in Sydney WITHOUT having my job (or any job) lined up. But I also know that I’m very lucky to 1. have such a good paying job and 2. to be able to transfer to a different office. I think I’m ready for a new chapter in my life as well. One that’s new for me but also new for my relationship. This move is going to be perfect practise for our move to the UK. How much do we take, how do we go finding jobs, how do we go finding a rental, how do we go making friends and finding new hobbies? Plus I have family in Sydney that I only really saw at Christmas so it’ll be nice to see them more often and have them get to know Nick more.

ALSO! Our Europe trip in November has now been fully paid and booked for, all that’s left is saving up spending money and hopping on that plane. I’m super excited for that too. I love travelling so much but I also love travelling with my boyfriend. Especially since he’s never left Australia before, so I’m really really excited to show him places that I love overseas as well as us exploring and finding new places together. It’s also been 4 years since I last left the country and I’m getting restless.

But that’s all that’s really new new. Life has been good otherwise, I’ve just been hustlin’ at my 9-5 (RIP Dolly), slowly packing up the house, and trying to balance all this website stuff. I also turned 25 a few weeks ago, I guess that’s also something big lmao. My quarter life mark (I can feel the criss coming). It was really nice this year actually. I had a party at home (my first one as a moved out adult) and it was so fantastic I love my friends so much, I had two dinners with my parents and then with Kinu and Nat (her birthday is a few days before mine so we shared our celebration this year), and then I had a Dutch birthday breakfast at my parents house on my actual birthday day (a sunday). So it was a really nice weekend of festivities.

Ok now I think I’m done with updates. Don’t worry, I’ll see you very very soon to update you with my course decision but for now it’s goodbye! I love you. Until next time <3
